As an important part of the Max EcoSystem, Max Traffic puts local television stations back in control of their traffic franchise, enabling them to grow cross-platform audience engagement and drive revenue growth.
The new Max Traffic release combines proprietary technology from both WSI and Weather Central, adding dozens of new features and exclusive interactivity with Max Studio. KNBC in Los Angeles, the largest traffic market in the U.S., will be one of the first stations to premiere the new Max Traffic.

How It Works
As traffic and weather are typically presented in sequential on-air segments, and as weather is often a driving factor in traffic problems, Max Traffic offers a unified, professionally designed interface with the same high-end look for traffic that WSI’s Max EcoSystem now offers for weather. Partnering with Inrix, the world’s largest traffic network, Max Traffic offers combined weather and traffic presentations that can, for example, provide reports with: (1) traffic flows and radar depicting heaviest areas of precipitation (rain or snow); (2) traffic and satellite imagery identifying areas that could present visual solar glare obstacles or fog; and (3) the future state of traffic due to weather in a given geographic area using WSI’s exclusive and highly accurate RPM (Rapid Precision Mesoscale) forecast modeling tool.
